Tom Brady can say all he wants about how Tebow is dynamic and how he believes he is a good qb and blah blah blah, but we all know he thinks Tebow is a no good, lucky sob and is just saying this crap to make the media happy. Under that moisturized skin he hates Tebow, he despises Tebow and all that he represents as a quarterback.

The Pats will lose on the road this Sunday to Tebow. Not just because of Tebow, but because of others surrounding him. This defense is playing as well as anyone in league and the return of Von Miller does make all the difference in world. The difference in this game will be shutting down the Pats TE’s Gronk and Hernandez and I’m not talking about covering them.

What’s Brady’s weakness? Having to move in the pocket and make plays on the run. The Broncos will make him move and therefore make him struggle. If he’s not able to get that ball out quickly to his TE’s, expect a frustrating day from pretty boy in pocket because the Tebow effect is in play boys.

It’s crazy because the last 8 weeks we have seen Tebow make miracles happen week in and week out and it’s hard to say it’s going to happen once again, but on the other hand who am I to say it won’t. I have a gut feeling this one is going to be close down the stretch and Tebow will have a chance to win it. And I’m not going to pick against him.

Broncos 25 Patriots 24

Greetings, from our Nashville offices. That’s right everyone, while I was gone I graduated from college, have had four jobs and moved to Nashville for a women. Yeah….my life is going well. And after all that I am working at an assisted living home, trying to go back to school and living off supermarket coupons and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Besides that life is great. One thing that does suck is that fact that both my fantasy teams had a combined record of 9-17 and was bounced from the one playoffs I made last week.

That’s what leads me back to this crap. Big Time(Leary) and I have spoken about bringing the glory days back and this is where it starts. So here ya have it, hope you enjoy it. If ya don’t…well than nothings changed.

Yea i said it. Just a little unknown playoff scenario for you…The G-MEN, believe it or not, can actally wrap up the NFC East title before they even play the Cowboys in week 17.

How do you figure? Well, this offseason when everyone was so focused on the new labor deal and the new kickoff rules, a change was made when determining tie-breakers for divison titles. For some reason the Hyperlinking isn’t working so google nfl tiebreaker procedures for division titles if you don’t believe me.

For the first time, when determining a tie within the division, the order of tie breakers goes:

Head to Head record

Record within the division

record in common games played

Yes, common games played, not conference record will break the tie between the Cowboys and Giants. In that case, you take away the Packers and Saints games from the Giants, and they have a one game lead in that category with two common games to be played (Redskins, Jets).

SOOOO… if the Giants beat the redskins and Jets, and the Cowboys lose to the Eagles week 16, which is possible, then the Giants are NFC East champions.

…just sayin.

ps, how soon before ESPN or anyone else figures this out? I tweeted at Boomer Esiason about it, but if that doesn’t work my guess is that the first time you hear about this is during the Cowboys/Eagles game.

ESPN.com This is not a knock on Eli Manning. He has his ring, which means in the overall evaluation of which quarterback has had the better career — Manning or Tony Romo — Manning wins hands down.

Hardware matters.

But looking at the players right now, Romo gets the edge as the one who is having the better season.

Eli Manning vs. Tony Romo was the ESPN “Hot Button Topic of The Day” today, and I didn’t even have to read it before I knew what the article was going to say. Blah Blah Blah Eli Manning has a ring, but when push comes to shove he just isn’t as good as Tony Romo…save it hon.

Let me fast forward to your back peddling later in the article…

And Romo has adjusted to not having his best receiver, Miles Austin, who has missed six games this season, including the past four, with a left hamstring injury he suffered in training camp. Romo has thrown seven of his 22 touchdown passes this season to journeyman Laurent Robinson, Austin’s replacement.

Unlike Manning, Romo has the benefit of playing on a balanced offense behind a respectable line that, for the most part, has kept him upright. Unlike Manning, Romo doesn’t have to throw for 400 yards in order for the Cowboys to win. He has rookie running back DeMarco Murray, who is closing in on 1,000 rushing yards and averaged 22.3 carries a game in November.

Now for those of you who don’t realize this, I think Hakeem Nicks only plays every other week, I think Mario Manningham died sometime two weeks ago, Jake Ballard caught about 5 passes in college going into this season, and every week there’s been a new configuration at offensive line for the Giants…leaving us with Victor Cruz, a few years removed from being an undrafted free agent from UMASS!

Cruz has been amazing, but for once let’s spin it the way it has always been talked about with Tom Brady, Drew Brees, and now Tony Romo…maybe Eli Manning is making the players around him better. Is that too aggressive to say? I mean most other quarterbacks get the credit when players with no expectations step up and have good years.

Fact is, Tony Romo is a great quarterback, probably the best in the NFl when it comes to moving around in the pocket. I also still think he has the quickets release in the league. However, the Cowboys can win without him. Not playoff wise, but they can win games on their schedule with Jon Kitna.

When it comes to the Giants, they would have one win (rams) this season without Eli Manning at quarterback…fact. Aside from the Rams game, every week the Giants have turned a 4-7 point deficit over to Eli with about 2 minutes in the game, and every single time he has brought them into the redzone, 6 scores, and 5 actual wins (if you can follow what I’m saying).

So the notion that you’d rather take Tony over Eli right now is just another yuppy throwing some stats out there because they decided to check their fantasy team before the game started instead of actually using their head. Kind of like when you see Tom Brady completing like 70% of his passes, sure that would be impressive if he threw over 10 yards more than five times a game.

The Giants may wind up blowing another good start to the season, but if it wasn’t for Eli Manning the season would have been over before the bye week.

Tim Tebow is an absolute phenominon right now, just taking over the country and I love every second of it.

Ever since I saw the Tim Tebow: Everything In Between movie, I have just become a fan. There’s no way I couldn’t. He is everything I want to be as a person, except he actually does it. The notion that meeting him, or listening to an interview of him makes you a better person may be a bit of an exageration, but he definitly makes you consider being a better person, and that’s saying a lot.

Clearly I have been Tebowing at random times whether it be to amuse myself or to keep down that first shot I took at the bar (to each his own). So I have to wonder when I’m actually in the house of God at midnight mass, is it acceptable to Tebow whenever we are supposed to pray or receive communion? I think it’s in good taste. I love Tebow, I’m Christian, so clearly it’s not like I’m mocking anyone. I’m just out there representing my

Anyone who thinks Bobby Valentine is about to just stroll into Fenway Park and just completely change the culture of this team and bring them a championship is off their rocker. I mean Bobby Valentine? Really?

Did anyone even watch this guy with Baseball Tonight over the past few years? He’s like that corny Uncle that everyone has that shows up at the family christmas party dropping knowlege about your sports teams and you just sit there listening because you have to. You don’t even respond, argue, or agree because you know everything he is saying is just utter non sense. That’s basically what we’ve all been getting from Bobby the past few years.

Now he is going to stroll into a major league clubhouse for the first time since he was in Japan and set things straight with possibly the most disfunctional team in major league history? Yea, sure thing.

The RedSox had’nt won in 86 years, and although he was basically handed a winner, Terry Francona managed the hell out of the RedSox and won two championships. If these guys couldn’t listen to him, then they sure as hell aren’t going to listen to Bobby freaking Valentine.

Let’s call a spade a spade here. The Sox lost their original pick in Dale Sveum (big name), and just brought in a recognizable figure so the fan base doesn’t lose their mind. They are about to clean house and develop all the young talent Theo brought into the farm system over the past couple of years. Bobby isn’t bringing Boston anywhere, he’s just along for the transition ride. Probably why he only got

This whole time I’ve been just assuming Chris Paul was on his way to the Knicks, it’s a done deal right?

Well, if the Lakers somehow pull off this dream scenario where they trade everything from Andrew Bynum to Jack Nicholson to put Dwight Howard and Chris Paul with Kobe Bryant then they might as well not even have a season. There’s absolutly no way you could stop those three together.

This isn’t the Miami Heat where three max contract players teamed up to try and create a dynasty and became a pretty good team. This is like The Celtics joining up but ten times better. It would be like if Stockton and young shaq joined up with jordan.

Every bit of me believes the Lakers will wind up with Howard, but I just pray that Paul won’t agree to sign an extension with LA. It’s the only way the Knicks can land their man considering Chauncey Billups’ expiring contract is their biggest trade piece….I guess Shumpert can go in that category if you are one of those glass completely full kind of people. I just think anyone who actually likes the NBA has to pray that this doesn’t happen, because if it does we’re all screwed for the next couple years.

I wasn’t totally wrong in predicting that there would be some upsets that nobody expected in the first round of this years playoffs, as the Grizzlies and Hawks both managed...

I wasn’t totally wrong in predicting that there would be some upsets that nobody expected in the first round of this years playoffs, as the Grizzlies and Hawks both managed to shock everyone and get into round 2. Philly fought hard but Miami was too good for my 7 game prediction, the Knicks shit the bed although injuries took a toll, the Hornets made a nice run and the Blazers dissapointed me. But, nevertheless here are my updated predictions for round 2 that starts today at 1.

Grizzlies at Thunder, Game 1 today at 1:00. Memphis surprised the hell out of us all and took down the team with the best record in the West. How does a team that dominates all season long and win 61 games lose to the #8 seeded Memphis Grizzlies who, as a franchise has never even played a playoff game? And are without their star? Who the fuck knows, but all I know is it further proves my point that the NBA regular season is pretty god damn pointless and only the games vs. the teams you’re going to play in the playoffs matter.

So are the Grizzlies tired from all that work in round 1? Or can they do it again? I honestly have no idea, but I don’t think we have to worry about them playing with a lack of energy here, nor will they be anywhere near scared of playing the Durantula. I think the party does stop here though, and the Grizzlies will prove that the Spurs were just an aging, overrated as hell playoff team that is clearly over the hill and has lost its will to win. The Thunder (surprisingly) were’nt really tested in round 1 and they should look fresh and ready to go. Look for Westbrook to have a monster series. I just have a feelin’. Thunder in 5

Celtics at Heat. Game 1 today at 3:30. Does anyone know what to expect here? This, I believe will be the best series of them all. The Celtics (once again) proved that they don’t care about the regular season and turn it up when they need to and got their first sweep ever as the “Big 3.” Surprising right? Never would have thought they’d beat the Knicks like that. But, the Celtics are going to need to play better to beat a Heat team that looked incredible vs. the Sixers. Philly played well, but in the end just had no chance.

I think the most important matchup here will once again be Rondo vs. Mike Bibby/ Mario Chalmers. I just don’t see how Miami expects to gaurd him with these 2 defensive ding dongs. Bibby couldn’t guard me, and Chalmers blows. If Rondo can tear them up, create space and get the ball to open Ray Allen, Garnett, or Peirce jumpers then I think the Celtics will win. Which, is exactly what I predict. The Big 2 in Miami (Bosh sucks ass and doesnt even deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as Wade or Lebron) will lose to the Big 3 of Boston in 6.

Atlanta Hawks at Chicago Bulls. Game 1 is Tomorrow at 8. For the first time in 3 years the Hawks played like they had nothing to lose, and actually cared about what people were saying about them. It was nice to see that they gave a shit, and were pissed about nobody giving them a shot to beat Dwight Howard. Now, people are doing it again. The Bulls won 2 out of 3 in the regular season vs. the Hawks and their two wins were blowouts. Can the Hawks show that they have balls and play some more gritty, defensive and hard fought battles vs. the Bulls? I think they can, but they will definitely need Kirk Hinrich who might miss the entire series. It’s a huge loss for Atlanta, and it means that Jeff Teague will have to prove his worth.

The Bulls played anything but a good first round series, with Boozer being non existent and Rose shooting worse than the Awkward Situation from 3, they’ll likely need a better series from both of them to beat the Hawks (although they still have to obviously be favored). The biggest matchups will end up being Hawks gaurds vs. Rose without Kirk, and Al Horford vs. Joakim Noah. It should be a fun battle to watch downlow. Prediction Bulls in 6

Dallas Mavericks vs. Los Angeles Lakers. Game 1 is tomorrow at 10:30. This is the series I’m least interested in, mainly because I hate watching both teams and am sick of them. I could care less who wins this matchup, and unforuntely we all know exactly who is going to. I just don’t see anyway the Mavs with this series, as they’ve proved time and time again they know how to choke in the playoffs and the Lakers are the complete opposite.

I’m sick of seeing Mark Cuban blow his load every time Dirk hits an open jumper, or Jason Kidd has a nice assist. But I’m even more sick of seeing fucking Jack Nicholson being shown 11 times a game grinning like an asshole. Hmm, here’s probably how this series is going to play out. The Mavs will steal 1 in LA, everyone will talk about how the Lakers are going to lose. Then the Mavs will go up big at the half in games 3 or 4, and then it’ll be all “Lakers are done. Is this the end of Kobe?” Then boom. Lakers won’t lose another game and will dominate all the way to a series win in 6. Yawn.

I nailed it on the head, and so did the Hawks as they now take on the Chicaco Bulls in the 2nd round (predictions coming soon) for what looks to be a good series as well, with the Bulls winning 2 out of 3 during the regular season.

And oh yeah, hey Jameer… remember when you said this!?
