I’ve been saying this ever since the Padres became “great” this season: They’re going to choke and fall apart. And what is happening now? The Padres have lost 10 games in a row and showing that they are truly not a good team. I still think both the Giants and Rockies have better teams than San Diego, and will both catch them by the time October hits. Speaking of the Rockies, why is it that they always blow for the first half of the season and then the last 40 games or so they are absolutely unbeatable? Carlos Gonzalez will win MVP if the Rockies make yet another improbable run to the post season and that would actually be pretty awesome. I have nothing against the Padres except for the fact that I don’t think they deserve to be in the playoffs whatsoever, so I would love to see them continue to fail after legitimately being in first the entire season. The Giants bore me, even though we all know that Big Time has a weird crush on their pitcher that looks like a 13 year old computer geek, and the Padres are hands down the most boring team in baseball to watch. Quick! Off the top of your head can you even name 4 players on San Diego? It just bothers me that they’re still relevant and I can’t really figure out why. Maybe it has something to do with their absolutely retarded alternate “army” jerseys.
Like what the hell is that?? A Padre is a type of priest or some shit, so who’s the jackass that was like “Ooh! Our team name is the Padres, so lets make our jersey’s army camouflage and look badass!” Just doesn’t make any sense whatsoever, plus they look absolutely miserable. My prediction is that the Padres will continue to choke horribly, the Giants will win the division because of their great pitching staff, and the Rockies will JUST miss the cut and finish in 2nd.
