Only Charlie Parker comes close to having as much influence on jazz as Louis Armstrong. Whoa, on a second reading of the entry, I realized that you actually meant negative criticism by describing these genres as “hated” — where I come from, if a person says that “everyone” hates this or that art phenomenon, she’s really saying that it’s underrated. She studied privately for several years, in addition to performing with several theatrical organizations and choirs.
