I saw that ESPN was broadcasting the Giants-Diamondbacks game a few days ago, as well as the fact that my home boy Tim Lincecum was being moved up in the rotation and would be starting. Like five times this year I have posted something saying how Big Time Timmy Jim would get outta his season slump on the national stage for me to watch, and each time…he got killed. So I decided to let this one fly under the radar, and what do you know? He fucking throws a gem.
With a1.94 era in september, along with five wins, the Giants have their ace back. This has been Lincecum’s worst year in the show, but having a strong showing in his first post-season will sure as shit make up for that. Now I could be wrong here, but I’m almost positive that it’s impossible for two teams from the same division to play each other in the first round of the playoffs. Leaving me to pull for the Braves right now, and hope that the Reds can win a few more games and be the two seed.
Why? It’s simple. Because then the Giants would be taking the Phillies on in a five game series, and call me crazy, but there’s no doubt San Fran could beat them. Most likely though, they will have to take on the Phillies in a seven game series, and I wouldn’t mind seeing seven games of dynamite pitching matchups. Go Giants
