Since you all read and loved my top 5 aces article (except you “Pedro,” but still, thanks for the comment), heres the sequel. The worst 5 “aces” in Major League Baseball.

Pretty freaky lookin' dude
5. Aaron Harang, Cincinatti Reds. Harang could have been considered an ace 3 years ago when he went 16-6, but what has he done the following three seasons? His combined record is 12-32, and his ERA has hovered around 4.50. I’m not really sure what happened to the guy, but he used to be the only good thing about the Reds besides Griffey.
4. Kevin Millwood, Baltimore Orioles. Millwood hasn’t had opening day stuff since his days with the Braves. Infact, he’s lost 10 or more games 6 of his last 7 seasons. He will definitely lose 10+ with a pretty terrible Orioles team this season, and I don’t really understand why they even traded for him in the first place.
3. Jon Garland, San Diego Padres. How this guy is an opening day starter is beyond me. Garland’s career ERA is 4.42, and he was awful last season with Arizona before being traded to the Dodgers. These are the types of players that end up on the Padres or the Pirates, and are somehow considered “aces.” He’s also the type of player that had that one good season (with the White Sox) than all of sudden according to the dumb team that signs him, he is capable of having another career year.

Looks a little queer to me...
2. Jake Westbrook, Cleveland Indians. Sucks for Indians fans. Your aces have gone from C.C. Sabathia to Cliff Lee to Jake ****ing Westbrook. That’s definitely not a small drop-off. Westbrook’s best season came in 2004, and even then he only won 14 games. Good thing he’s off to a superb start this season though, with an ERA at an impressive 7.47 and an equally strong WHIP of 2.17. Good luck Indians.
1. Vicente Padilla, Los Angeles Dodgers. There are couple of reasons why he’s number one of this list. Number one, he’s awful. There’s no way around it. Yeah, you can look at last season and say that he helped an injured Dodgers rotation in the second half, but no Dodgers fans, Padilla is absolutely horrendous. Even Joe Torre knows it. Number two, he’s uglier than all hell. Number three, he used to be on the Phillies so he’s definitely gay. Number four, why the hell is he the opening day starter anyway? Both Kershaw and Billingsley are better. And number five, just look at his stats this year. So far he’s 0-2, his ERA’s 11.42, his WHIP’s 2.08, and on opening day he looked more like a pregnant hispanic woman than a major league baseball player.
haha def agree with number 1 because at least the other 4 are on shitty teams, while padilla is in a rotation with 3 other good pitchers and a contending team this year
2. Jake Westbrook, Cleveland Indians. Sucks for Indians fans. Your aces have gone from C.C. Sabathia to Cliff Lee to Jake ****ing Westbrook.
hahaha thats almost as funny as spiro having to ride the tea cups at the theme park cause he’s short
