By waiving his no trade clause, Roy Oswalt has officially been traded to the Philidelphia Phillies. The Phillies starting three heading down the stretch now looks like a video game rotation with Roy Halladay, Roy Oswalt, and Cole Hammels. The problem is…they are still second best.
The Yanks are still the favorites, they are still the defending champions, and as far as I’m concerned….it’s their championship to lose. Once Pettitte comes back to add onto his career year, we’ll be heading into the playoffs with Sabathia, Pettitte, Burnett, Hughes, and Vasquez. I know, I Know, burnett sucks this year. He is so inconsitant, but he is due for one of those 6 straight starts where he is lights out…and god help the league if he hits his stride in October.
Get off the Phills dick everyone, they are still hurt, Halladay is far from that 30 win season everyone predicted, and they still need to catch a handfull of teams that are leading the playoff races. Even if they get into the playoffs, just wait for the upset in the NLDS when the Giants take them down, because Lincecum, Cain, and Zito in a best of 5 is as good as it gets too.
Also, can we talk about how unstopable the yankees offense will be if they actually land Adam Dunn
Cole Hammels blows and Roy Oswalt is not the same pitcher he was 3 years ago
oswalt’s numbers are pretty much on pace with what he did 3 years ago besides his record so i dont know how you can say that..and if our 3rd starter with an ERA in the mid 3′s and 126 k’s blows then hey, i think i’ll take it
