Come on guys, let’s get it done

To tell you the truth I’m so sick of all this bullshit about the CBA in every sport. I’m sitting here on a Wednesday in April and doing what I do everyday….thinking like most guys. Pondering about three things…the weekend ahead so we can drink our faces off, girls, and of course sports.

Now, more than ever there is that little thought in the back of my mind saying we might not have football next year, actually that it’s a real good chance we won’t have football next fall. That’s right everyone, no fantasy football, which consumes our Sundays, no Monday Night Football commercials, and that’s right no specials at the bars during football hours.

Sunday is the day you me, your dad, gramps, uncle George, and the neighbor Chuck can sit back watch the game and have something in common. Now, I’m not saying I’m missing football season that much right now, but god damn it if I can’t get in my car on a Sunday in December and take that two hour drive to Giants Stadium to drink beers, eat some sausage and peppers and drop 100 bucks in the stadium on god knows what, I’m going to be really pissed. 

But back to the real subject. The CBA. Not to sound all sentimental and shit, but isn’t this game about the fans. That’s all we hear about. If there was none of us average joes out here writing stupid shit like this and getting loaded at games and paying ridiculous prices for packages on TV, guess what NFL there would be no NFL. Just get it done please.

Another thing that pisses me off is the fact that now were starting to talk about the NBA in the same way. This is also preventing guys like Sullinger, Barnes and Henson from going to the draft. It hurts the sports guys. Get your head out of your ass and get something done before we go to a lockout, doesn’t matter the sport.

Oh yeah, how dumb can players be sometimes. First AP says NFL players are being treated like slaves. Yeah OK. The real slaves are people like me sitting in a fucking office for 8 hours a day writing this bullshit about you. Sorry you make 5 mill a year and spend it all on strippers, crack, and abortions. Not my fault you have no money now. And now Derrick Mason calls Goodell a joke. No. The entire NFL is a joke right now.

My life is fairly pathetic to begin with, but I guarantee after I graduate it’s going to be a lot worse except I might not have .23 cents in my bank account, but i’ll tell ya what football will definitely mean more because I’ll have nothing else to look forward to. That’s for sure.
