My NL All Star Team

We all know the fans screw it up every year, even though as of now most of the choices look pretty solid.  Here is my NL All Star team with starters in bold and backups below them.

C: Miguel Olivo, Rockies. The pretty much unheard of and underrated Olivo is having an amazing season behind the plate in Colorado.  He beats out McCann because of the better average.

Brian McCann, Braves

1B: Albert Pujols, Cardinals.  It’s actually incredibly close between him and Votto, but c’mon you can’t go against the best player in baseball.

Joey Votto, Reds

Adrian Gonzalez, Padres

2B: Martin Prado, Braves.  Prado has been hands down the best  second baseman in the National League this year and is the reason the Braves are in first place.

Dan Uggla, Marlins

SS: Hanley Ramirez.  He might be half retarded and lazier than Garfield, but the dude can hit.

Juan Uribe, Giants

If he actually is a butt pirate, what a damn waste...

3B: David Wright, Mets.  I’m actually surprised he bounced back the way he did after another bad start to a season, but he’s led the Mets past the Phillies and into 2nd place.

Scott Rolen, Reds

OF: Cory Hart, Brewers.  The Brewers suck.  Imagine where they’d bewithout Hart’s awesome season?  Apparently the Braves are trying hard to get him.  I’d definitely take his bat in left field.

OF: Jason Werth, Phillies.  Aside from that 0 for a million streak in May, Werth has had another All Star season in Philly.

OF: Colby Rasmus, Cardinals.  I picked this kid up in fantasy in like week and he’s been lettin it rain ever since.

Andre Either, Dodgers

Ryan Braun, Brewers

Jason Heyward, Braves

Andrew McCutchen, Pirates

Marlon Byrd, Cubs (representation)

SP: Ubaldo Jimenez, Rockies.  Do I even have to explain?

SP: Josh Johnson, Marlins

SP: Roy Halladay, Phillies

SP: Tim Hudson, Braves

SP: Adam Wainwright, Cardinals

SP: Mike Pelfrey, Mets

SP: Roy Oswalt, Astros (representation)

SP: Chris Carpenter, Cardinals

RP: Heath Bell, Padres

RP: Billy Wagner, Braves

RP: Jonathan Broxton, Dodgers

RP:Francisco Rodriguez, Mets

RP: Brian Wilson, Giants

RP: Matt Capps, Nationals
