Can the Celtics really be happy with how they’re playing?

Alright, I’m not going to sit hear and bitch about how I think the Knicks could easily be up 2-0 in the series, or at least going back to NY notched up 1-1. Fact of the matter is that the Celtics have won both games, and when you look back, that’s all that is going to matter.

Anyone watching this series knows the Knicks have outplayed, and beaten the Celtics for all but about 25-30 seconds of this series, and that’s a Knicks team that was playing a lineup of Toney Douglas, Carmelo Anthony, Roger Mason Jr, Bill Walker, and Jerrod Jeffries, a team that would probably win 30 games in the regular season.

My point is, even with those two wins in the last seconds, the Celtics are barely beating a team that has now lost two of their big 3, never had a bench to begin with, and basically can only score through one guy. What’s going to happen when they advance and play a team like the Magic, the Bulls, and I hate to say it, the Heat. The Celtics are not that good, plain and simple.

A Few game notes I’ve taken away from the series:

-Landry Fields finally looks like a white, rookie shooting guard

-Every time Ray Allen shoots the ball you know it’s going in

-When Amar’e is on the floor he is the best player in the series

-For someone who doesn’t play defense Carmelo hasn’t done a bad job on Paul Pierce

-Can the Knicks get one stop following a timeout? Just one.

-The Knicks need Chauncey Billups, come crunch time no one except Carmelo seems to know what to do

-Come crunch time, the every Celtic knows exactly what to do

-stop traffic, Rajon Rondo made a bunch of lay ups in transition on a guy who couldn’t get into foul trouble (Toney Douglas)

-Speaking of, what. the. fuck. was Toney Douglas doing last night when he picked up his fourth foul?

Although I don’t believe the series is over, and that the Knicks could easy head back to Boston 2-2 as long as they get Billups and Stoudemire back, 2-0 is a fucking mountain to climb when you’re playing an experienced team like the Celtics in the playoffs. Speaking of, who’s the asshole that created this new phrase, “playoff series don’t begin until someone wins on the road?” News flash bro, the Kicks are down 2 fucking 0, the playoff series hasn’t only started, it’s fucking half over. Get your heads out of your asses.
