End this Melodrama BS

via knicksblog:

The Knicks have an offer on the table that, according to sources, includesWilson Chandler, Danilo Gallinari and Raymond Felton going to Denver along with a first-round pick from the Minnesota Timberwolves, for Anthony, guard Chauncey Billups and at least one other reserve player, plus $3 million in cash considerations. The deal the Knicks have in place will save the Nuggets as much as $6 million in luxury tax this season. The Timberwolves would absorb Eddy Curry‘s $11.2 million salary slot and take Anthony Randolph, while sending a first round pick to Denver.

The Knicks would sign Anthony to a three-year, $65 million contract extension as part of a trade.

Though the Knicks would prefer to sign Anthony as a free agent in the offseason, multiple sources say the organization has been made aware that Anthony has no interest in waiting for free agency, especially with the uncertainty that lies ahead in collective bargaining…Donnie Walsh wanted to do this the usual way: set parameters, negotiate and then stare at the clock until the 11th hour and see if the Nuggets buckle under the pressure of trading Carmelo for a little less than what they were hoping to get for their superstar.

Alright, I just want this shit to end. Denver played this whole thing like a bunch of rookies. It is about damn time the Knicks ended it and just said take it or leave it. Gallo leaving would kill me though. Plus Felton has been the heart and soul of this team this year. At this point though, you either make this deal or tell Melo to screw off. Honestly, for the Knicks to ever go to the next level, they gotta get Melo, but you are destroying the team by having all these rumors. I never thought in a million years this would as retarded as it has been, but hopefully this is the end of the line. Looking at it from a pure basketball sense, a line up of Billups (if he can prove he can work in the Seven Seconds or Less O), Fields, Melo, Stat and Mozzy is fantastic, however, you are taking a fan favorite away in Gallo. All I can do if they do trade him is pray they have money to sign him when he eventually becomes a free agent. Also, I was waiting to buy his jersey, and that is going down the tubes, so it looks like Landry Fields is the way I am gonna go.

Two more things: I love that Deron Williams is saying how he wants to be a Knick, that would lessen the blow of losing Ray Ray a little more. Also, can Isiah Thomas just fuck off. I hate that bastard, he ruined the team and wants to come back for more. He needs to stop blowing Dolan and focus on his shitty college team.
