It’s quite funny that all we ever hear about the Miami Heat is how they can’t beat a good team, the 3 stars on one team is a disaster, they don’t have a “closer,” Lebron and D Wade hate eachother, and Chris Bosh is the worlds biggest bitch. Yet, I was taking a look at the standings just now and what the fuck? They’re only 2 games out of 1st place in the Eastern Conference. With all this media revolving around them you’d think they were like 39-31 or something.
I even saw this article on foxsports.com saying that the race for the #1 seed is only a two team race? Look again Fox Sports. The Heat are only 2 games back and have the like easiest remaining schedule of all time. They have the Pistons, Sixers, Rockets, Cavs, Wizards, T -Wolves, Nets, Bucks, Bobcats, Celtics, Hawks, and Raptors left. I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if they went undefeated the rest of the way. They’re getting hot at the right time and the only 2 teams they play worth a shit (Celtics and Hawks) are struggling and couldn’t beat the murderball team right now.
Personally, I say fuck the Heat and hope the Knicks get to play them in the first round for an upset special. But I just laugh at the fact that ESPN makes them out to be this around .500 team that can only beat the bad teams, when they could easily steal that #1 seed in the remaining few weeks. Boston is old and faltering and doesn’t ever give a shit about the regular season, plus trading Perkins was possibly the dumbest move of all time. And Chicago has a slightly tougher schedule left. Who do you think will be the #1 seed out of the Eastern Conference?
