Put Him In Coach!

As I sat here in the dirty Jerz still in a considerable amount of pain from last night, I was excited to relax and watch the Hawks get an easy win vs. the Knicks.  Apparently that’s just too much to ask for (the sports gods continue to despise Mike and I), as the game quickly turned in to probably the most ridiculous game I’ve watched all season.  The Hawks had a huge lead, and the shooters went to the bench for a few.  Enter Nate Robinson.  Someone who hasn’t played in a month.  Someone who recently demanded a trade.  Someone who only averages 11 points a game this season.  Someone who is only like 3’2 and actually shorter than Spiros!  How does this guy come in and give the Atlanta Hawks only their 4th home loss of the season (2 of them to the Knicks).  He came in and absolutely schooled Mike Bibby, Joe Johnson, and Marvin Williams from the 2nd quarter all the way through OT, scoring 41 points off the bench.

My question is, why the hell doesn’t he play!?  From the decent amount of games I’ve seen him play in, he has immediately made an impact.  Just last year when Mike and I went to see the Hawks play at MSG, he was on absolute fire, obliterating the Hawks.  Even when he’s not scoring, he’s very energetic and fires up his bench and the crowd with ease.  The 17,000 plus fans were stunned in Phillips Arena tonight, watching someone who’s no taller than a smurf take down their beloved team.  Hey coach D’antoni, grow up and start giving Nate minutes and the ball.  Maybe, just maybe he’ll lead you to that coveted #8 seed.
