Did anyone even watch this guy with Baseball Tonight over the past few years? He’s like that corny Uncle that everyone has that shows up at the family christmas party dropping knowlege about your sports teams and you just sit there listening because you have to. You don’t even respond, argue, or agree because you know everything he is saying is just utter non sense. That’s basically what we’ve all been getting from Bobby the past few years.
Now he is going to stroll into a major league clubhouse for the first time since he was in Japan and set things straight with possibly the most disfunctional team in major league history? Yea, sure thing.
The RedSox had’nt won in 86 years, and although he was basically handed a winner, Terry Francona managed the hell out of the RedSox and won two championships. If these guys couldn’t listen to him, then they sure as hell aren’t going to listen to Bobby freaking Valentine.
Let’s call a spade a spade here. The Sox lost their original pick in Dale Sveum (big name), and just brought in a recognizable figure so the fan base doesn’t lose their mind.
